A new definition of productivity; Dr Andros Payne MBA

Quite often business goals are not reached or understood. Kaplan & Norton, in 2001, already figured out: “A mere 7% of employees today fully understand their company’s business strategies and what’s expected of them in order to help achieve company goals” .Most companies suffer from this disconnect between and strategic goals are getting out of reach. And HR professionals are pretty occupied to maintain systems, processes and structures and don nto have enough time, resources and capacity to address this pressing disconnect. On top of this, due to miscellaneous developments, companies leadership is challenged with a tremendously increasing complexity. More and more. Examples: internationalization (BRIC(s)), cross industry competition (Apple), Noting lifetime of a S&P goes down from 60 years to less than 15 years, Innovations have increased impact on business models and business positions increasingly, disappearing of the ‘life time employment’ mentality and increased difficulty to manage productivity of ‘knowledge workers’.  These 2 challenges can only be addresses when employees feel “involved and engaged” so they are better aligned to the company’s mission and values and if the corporate or collective agility is seen and managed as a key success factor. Andros Payne decided some 10 years ago to contribute his professional life to address this : increase People & Agility understanding.
