Transformational Leadership –
New Models, New Competencies

The thought leadership of Michael Watkins and Nicholas Janni and its practicability are world renown. A blend of their expertise and experience in the domain of leadership transition and development creates a forward oriented look into the roles and competencies of the leader of tomorrow.

What is the work of leadership today? We all know the buzzwords around dealing with high levels of complexity, an exploding connectivity, a rapidly increasing number of political and societal issues and a speed of change that is hard to follow, let alone manage. It is against this context that Michael Watkins and Nicolas Janni explored what the required new competencies and behaviors are to meet and master these challenges. And more so, how do we arm leaders to meet institutional transformation and personal adaptive challenges so they become increasingly resilient at the individual, team, institutional and x-institutional level. What is it that we can do that truly has an impact in developing these competencies and transforming leadership behaviors and how do we “stage change” vs. “state change”
