Against the background of multiple megatrends that impact society in an unprecedented manner, food shortage will become a major issue with the world’s population growing from 7 to 9 billion citizens until 2050. And all this growth is happening in emerging economies. Syngenta is one of the companies that will be heavily impacted by this megatrend. They expect to grow from $14 Bn to $25 Bn in sales over the next decade and their workforce from some 25’000 to some 40’000. Against this background the company has started, together with BCG, a deep dive in strategic workforce panning.
