Seminar Competency Based Interviewing

Job interviews are among the most important ways of gaining information about new employees during the recruitment process. However, often you only have a short time in which to build a complete picture of someone’s professional ability, their skills and their future potential. You need to see behind the facade to determine the true picture and ultimately to employ the right person. Using competency based interviewing will help you achieve this goal.

Contents

  • Definition of the appropriate competences required
  • Planning, structuring and preparing the interview strategy
  • Formulating appropriate questions to gain meaningful information
  • Realising the relevance of consistent questioning, active listening and confrontation techniques to control the interview
  • Judging the interview effectively afterwards

Your benefits

You already know how to create relevant job profiles based on defined competences. You will know how to properly prepare, design and execute demanding and productive discussions.

You will know how to correctly apply specific questioning and interviewing techniques in the 1st and 2nd interviews. You will understand how to give the candidate a positive “Candidate Experience” and score points in the “War for Talent”.
